You can fish year round for rainbow trout at the Lower Illinois River or the Lower Mountain Fork River. Both locations are great for both fly fishing and rod and reel fishing. In addition to these two places the Wildlife Department stocks several other lakes and rivers for the winter trout season.

Trout are being stocked NOW (see below), so get outside and fish one of these locations today.
