Kaw Lake in north-central Oklahoma is located east of Ponca City near Kaw City. Kaw Lake has 168 miles of shoreline and 17,040 surface acres. Kaw Lake is another great fishing lake located along the Arkansas River System just below the Oklahoma-Kansas border. It is known for producing some of the largest catfish in Oklahoma. Hunting is available at the Kaw WMA on the northwestern leg of the lake.
