W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam in eastern Oklahoma is located just a few miles north of Spiro. W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam has 1,500 surface acres. W.D. Mayo Lock is on a stretch of the Arkansas River just east of the Oklahoma-Arkansas border. Fishing is abundant at this location, see below for all of the fish species available.
