Lake Overholser in central Oklahoma is located on the east side of Yukon. Lake Overholser has 7 miles of shoreline and 1,500 surface acres. Lake Overholser, owned by the city of Oklahoma City, has fishing, nature trails, soccer fields, and tennis courts.

    Hi there I am an activity director at sterling house west recently one of my residents had a wish granted by the make a wish foundation to go sailing in June. After the wish was granted we found out that the closest lake was not able to be sailed on due to low water levels and I was wondering if you could help me find out for the end of June where we would be able to take him to make his wish come true?

      You can sail at Hefner too, but it is getting low also. Lake Thunderbird in Norman might be your best bet.

    Do you allow fishing boats on the lake and do you have RV hookups?

      I don’t think there are any hook ups by the lake, but yes fishing boats are allowed.

    Hello, do you allow ski boats on the lake to fish? If not, could you tell me the closest lake that does? We are brand new to the area. Thank you!

      Kayak rentals at Lake Overholser will not be available until June or July. They are currently undergoing renovations at that location. Rentals are still available at the Oklahoma boathouse.
