Oklahoma with 12 distinct ecosystems is home to a variety of trails. There are rugged hiking trails in the Wichita Mountains, and 4×4 sand dunes in the northwest. Another favorite for mountain biking and equestrian trails is the pine covered Ouachita National Forest in the southeast. Many of the lakes in Oklahoma also have hiking, biking, and nature trails.
